Summary
The Post Production Assistant supports the Photo team with retouching, color correction, on-set assistance, and studio workflow. This hybrid creative role involves image editing, color matching, asset preparation, and hands-on support during shoots, reporting to the Art Director in the New Orleans headquarters.
Responsibilities
- Retouch product and lifestyle photography for clarity consistency and true-to-life color
- Perform dust cleanup edge refinement lens correction and subtle skin and texture work
- Color match frames and materials using samples calibrated monitors and references
- Prepare and export final assets for eCommerce marketing and retail partners using naming conventions and specs
- Conduct quality control checks to ensure accuracy before assets go live
- Support studio and on-set needs including prepping gear and managing equipment
- Assist with lighting setups maintain tethering capture stations and digital equipment
- Ingest organize and label captures maintain orderly archives and assist with culling
- Support in-house videographer with basic video file organization and lighting assistance
Requirements
- Passion for photography fashion and visual storytelling
- Strong foundational skills in Adobe Lightroom and Photoshop with retouching ability
- Familiarity with Capture One color tools and photo workflows
- Understanding of lighting principles and interest in film photography or developing film
- Willingness to learn Adobe Premiere Pro and film lighting techniques for video support
- Sharp attention to detail for color dust reflections and consistency
- Excellent organization file management and reliability in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to balance multiple projects and shifting priorities with a collaborative attitude
- Portfolio demonstrating retouching ability with before and after examples
