Summary
Senior technical leader responsible for designing, building, and scaling production machine learning systems and infrastructure to support merchandising, supply chain, and inventory. Collaborates with data scientists, software engineers, and product teams to translate business problems into reliable, high-performance ML solutions while mentoring junior engineers and driving platform strategy.
Responsibilities
- Design and implement scalable machine learning systems and infrastructure.
- Develop production-ready ML models and optimize model performance.
- Build and maintain high-volume data pipelines and APIs.
- Drive architectural decisions for cloud based ML platforms and compute.
- Ensure system reliability, scalability, and cost effective operations.
- Collaborate with cross functional teams to align ML strategy with business goals.
- Mentor and provide technical direction to junior engineers.
- Advocate and apply best practices in MLOps and operational excellence.
Requirements
- 10+ years of applied machine learning experience.
- Strong programming skills in Scala Python Java C++ or equivalent.
- Experience building end to end ML infrastructure and productionizing models.
- Knowledge of data structures algorithms databases and large scale architectural patterns.
- Experience with cloud solutions such as AWS SageMaker and GCP Vertex AI.
- Bachelor's Master's or PhD in CS ML OR or related field.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work cross functionally.
- Proven track record of delivery in collaborative multi stakeholder environments.
