Summary
The Private Client Manager, Northeast builds and leverages relationships within the U.S. high-net-worth wine, spirits, and champagne community to drive recruitment, loyalty, and scalable sales for the MHUSA portfolio with a focus on Hennessy. The role develops and executes targeted client acquisition strategies and luxury brand experiences to increase depletions and revenue. This market-based, hybrid role is New York–focused and requires frequent travel and client-facing activity.
Responsibilities
- Identify, recruit, and onboard high-net-worth clients and VICs to expand market presence and drive depletions.
- Develop and execute bespoke luxury client experiences, events, and activations in collaboration with Brand and Education teams.
- Leverage existing relationships and strategic partnerships to convert prospects into repeat purchasers.
- Achieve revenue targets (including a $1M sales target across the assigned portfolio) and recruit 30–50 new VICs as outlined by business goals.
- Partner with Business Intelligence, Finance, Sales, and Private Client teams to set KPIs, monitor performance, and allocate A&P budgets.
- Manage client records and activity in CRM, monitor allocations, and communicate client needs for launches and rarities.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree required.
- 7+ years of luxury sales experience combining marketing and brand management, with experience in luxury goods (high-end spirits preferred).
- Established network and relationships within the U.S. HNWI consumer market.
- Extensive technical knowledge of high-end wine and spirits, strong commercial acumen, and analytical skills.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills; diplomacy in service of high-profile clients.
- Valid driver’s license, acceptable driving record, frequent driving required; ability to lift up to 20 lbs.
- Authorization to work in the United States; multilingual candidates (Mandarin preferred) are a plus.
