SummaryAs a Product Management Manager for Polo Women's Knits, you will collaborate with various teams to ensure product integrity from sample to production. You will drive product strategy to deliver value in terms of product, price, lead-time, and quality.
Responsibilities- Attend hand-off meetings with Designer, Technical & raw materials team.
- Ensure accurate and complete information is received from Design for each season hand off.
- Manage fabric and trim development on the sourcing and development timeline status of each product’s raw materials.
- Ensure clear and complete tech packages are generated in PLM and sent to vendors for development.
- Manage cross-functional team members on priorities for development and initial requirements and direction.
- Work with overseas partners to deliver sales samples in a timely manner.
- Participate in weekly WIPS meetings with Cross Functional Team on development and line status.
- Participate in bi-weekly fittings and ensure Tech Packs are updated with any relevant changes.
- Oversee tracking charts for workflow execution and timely approvals.
- Secure all fabrics needed for first proto including body fabric, secondary fabric, and rib.
- Generate all stock trim and wash approval charts post RL walk-throughs.
- Oversee timelines with Design, Fabric and Trim Development to ensure timely approval of fabrics, trims, washes, mock-ups, prototypes, etc.
- Extensive follow-up and communication with manufacturer base and offshore offices during development.
- Review line with Merchandising & Design to troubleshoot on challenging styles.
- Review fit comments to ensure costing and delivery are not affected by fit changes.
- Attend Line Review with Design & Merchandising to monitor changes affecting pricing and delivery.
- Coordinate any R&D related dying/washing for sales samples.
- Manage seasonal program books keeping them updated as submits are approved.
- Review final allocation analysis with Senior Director to determine best allocation balance with manufacturer base.
- Coordinate with Production team and testing to ensure the final product is handed off for production close out and testing.
- Assist with special projects as needed.
Requirements- 3+ years of experience in Product Development related area and in a garment manufacturing & sourcing environment.
- Strong aesthetic sense to capture and execute the Design's vision.
- Knowledge of Excel, Flex PLM, Airtable.
- Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and follow-up skills.
- Knowledge of Flex PLM highly preferred or knowledge of the product category.
