Summary
The Product Planning Manager supports integrated business planning across assigned brands and categories. This role translates merchandising strategies, data, and performance metrics into actionable insights and recommendations. The position partners with cross-functional teams to improve assortment productivity, product performance, and decision-making throughout the seasonal planning lifecycle.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate product planning activities and seasonal planning milestones across assigned brands and categories.
- Prepare executive-ready materials outlining planning choices, business impacts, risks, trade-offs, and recommendations.
- Analyze product metrics, including SKU productivity, adoption, revenue per SKU, sell-through, margin, and AUR performance.
- Track decisions, action items, ownership, and open questions across planning forums.
- Partner with Analytics and Product Planning leadership to standardize reporting, templates, data inputs, and planning routines.
- Identify opportunities to improve planning processes and cross-functional collaboration.
Requirements
- Experience in merchandising, product planning, merchandise planning, business planning, retail strategy, forecasting, or a related analytical function.
- Strong understanding of seasonal merchandise planning, product lifecycle management, assortment planning, and retail performance metrics.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, organizational, project management, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to synthesize complex business information into clear insights and executive-level recommendations.
- Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills, with experience using dashboards, reporting tools, and planning systems.
