Product Sanding Specialist

RH is seeking a Product Sanding Specialist to join our team in Grand Rapids, MI. In this role, you will provide direct support to the Senior Leader of Plant Production, preparing high-end residential furniture for the finishing team. Your expertise in wood sanding, sandblasting, and wire brushing will ensure a world-class, high-quality hand finish to our products.

• Support with case clean preparation, including product preparation for sanding, hardware removal, and defect repair.
• Execute case cleaning, sanding with handheld tools, and ensuring final approval with the finishing team.
• Utilize sandblasting booths and equipment to create desired textures.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
• Perform duties consistent with company values, policies, and procedures.

• 3-5+ years of experience in wood sanding, case cleaning, or sandblasting.
• High School Diploma or equivalent work experience.
• Effective communication skills with team members.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
• Adaptability to changing conditions and situations.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize tasks.
• Commitment to continuous improvement and superior quality.
• Physical ability to lift items up to 50 lbs and work in a manufacturing environment.
