Job Description

Summary

The Production Controller manages volume and workflow for a Distribution Center to meet SLA and productivity targets, focusing on prioritization, building flow concepts, and operational plan actualization. This role oversees shift production planning and provides guidance to DC Operations, Maintenance and Support leaders while running a mid shift schedule.

Responsibilities

  • Manage DC processing and shipment workflows using automated tools and web platforms
  • Maintain proactive communication with DC Operations leaders regarding workflow status
  • Develop and execute shift production and staffing plans and adjust in real time
  • Trial new tools and systems and gather operations feedback
  • Collaborate with enterprise planning teams on risk mitigation for disruptions
  • Advise operations and maintenance leaders to ensure partnership and common goals
  • Drive risk management strategies to meet Service Level Agreements for shipments
  • Perform pre planning and postmortem reporting of performance
  • Provide KPI reporting and use data to drive root cause elimination and process improvement

Requirements

  • College degree in Engineering Operations Logistics or related field preferred
  • At least 5 years experience as a department or operations lead in distribution fulfillment or light industrial environment
  • Expertise in SQL and VBA and Excel Macro creation and modification
  • Experience with Anaplan and Tableau a plus
  • Ability to handle multiple projects deadlines and stressful situations with minimal oversight
  • Strong communication skills to coordinate multi department operational decisions
  • Experience working in a team environment remotely and as an advisor
  • KPI reporting experience in operations
  • Ability to understand inbound and outbound shift plans for multiple Distribution Centers
