Job Description

Summary

As a Production Intern at Carolina Herrera in New York, you will gain hands-on experience in the fashion industry, working closely with various departments to support production activities. This internship offers a unique opportunity to learn and grow in a dynamic and creative environment.

Responsibilities
  • Make swatches and apply them to cut tickets for contractors.
  • Prepare samples for fittings, including steaming and measuring.
  • Shadow the Production Department and assist with creating trim packages and preparing shipments.
  • Participate in production fittings and maintain patternmaker style sheets.
  • Research and source materials, trims, and fabrics based on seasonal needs.
  • Support factory pick-up and drop-offs around the garment district.
  • Assist with transferring samples to/from PR and prepare swatches for atelier patternmakers.
  • Help maintain an organized and clutter-free studio.
Requirements
  • Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Current student or recent graduate with knowledge of garment construction.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PLM database is a plus.
  • Understanding of fabric types and the garment district.
