Job Description

Summary

Experienced Production Manager responsible for overseeing the production process from planning through final delivery, managing vendor relationships, ensuring product quality, and maintaining cost efficiency in a fast paced apparel environment.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with merchandising, planning, and product development on finished goods and fabric projections.
  • Review seasonal buys, confirm delivery dates and ship modes, and issue purchase orders.
  • Oversee and review final purchase orders sent to vendors and monitor delivery dates.
  • Communicate daily with vendors to receive time and action updates and troubleshoot production issues.
  • Manage production timelines and report risks to the Director of Production.
  • Review seasonal costs and cost sheets and address cost discrepancies with product development.
  • Maintain debit memo log and review damage and raw material chargebacks.
  • Coordinate fabric delivery status to align with production schedules and prepare drop ship summaries.
  • Manage the production team, implement long term solutions, and review quality assurance and inspection reports.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent work experience.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in apparel production management.
  • Strong knowledge of garment construction and production lifecycles.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple vendors and product categories simultaneously.
  • Experience with domestic and international manufacturing.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and inventory management tools.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, negotiation, and problem solving skills.
  • Strong attention to detail, organization, and time management abilities.
