Job Description

Summary

Oversee a workshop team repairing luxury handbags, textiles, and small leather goods, ensuring quality, productivity, and adherence to safety and production standards. Manage daily operations, staffing, capacity planning, and coordination with central technical and supply chain teams to meet service rate and quality targets.

Responsibilities

  • Manage craftsmen and coordinate daily workshop activities
  • Communicate and enforce company policies and conduct team meetings
  • Track productivity goals and motivate team to meet objectives
  • Develop staff through training, onboarding, and performance reviews
  • Ensure service rate above 80% and quality goal of 95% first-time repairs
  • Manage weekly capacity planning and material and equipment needs
  • Monitor production flows and propose optimal workshop layouts
  • Manage machine safety and maintenance and oversee monthly shredding process
  • Provide daily weekly and monthly KPIs and reporting on workshop performance

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • 2 years experience in a similar supervisory production role
  • Knowledge of sewing on leather or canvas is a plus
  • Basic math and computer skills for measuring and reporting
  • Detail oriented with strong focus on quality and safety
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment
  • Bilingual Spanish is a plus with English proficiency
  • Ability to work overtime as required
