Job Description

Summary

As a Production Technician in North Hollywood, you will play a crucial role in our manufacturing environment, focusing on areas such as Surfacing, Finishing, and Coating. You will ensure that all duties and procedures are performed according to established standards and in compliance with company policies. Regular attendance and availability for overtime are required.

Responsibilities
  • Clip and secure lenses into baskets to begin the coating process.
  • Prepare and operate the coating machine to coat lenses properly.
  • Inspect lenses before and after the coating process to ensure accuracy.
  • Disassemble and clean machines daily, including sandblasting parts.
  • Apply drill holes to lenses for proper fit and alignment.
  • Operate edging machines to cut lenses to the correct size and shape.
  • Tint lenses accurately in the tinting department.
  • Prepare lenses for surfacing by de-boxing, taping, and tray up.
  • Operate taping equipment and blocking machines in the surfacing department.
  • Hand wash and dry lenses, followed by cosmetic inspection.
Requirements
  • 3-5 years of experience in a Manufacturing/Production environment preferred.
  • Competent in 60% of assigned job tasks or highly skilled in a specialized area.
  • High School education or equivalent.
  • Previous related experience and/or training.
