Job Description

Summary

As a Production Technician, you will play a crucial role in the manufacturing process of ophthalmic lenses, frames, and sunglasses. You will be responsible for ensuring the quality and accuracy of products in a dynamic production environment.

Responsibilities
  • Operate and maintain various machines for coating, finishing, and surfacing lenses.
  • Inspect lenses and frames to ensure they meet quality standards.
  • Cross-train in different areas of production to enhance versatility and efficiency.
  • Work with and around chemicals, ensuring safety and compliance with regulations.
  • Stand and walk for the duration of the shift, and work overtime as needed.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 1+ years of related work experience in manufacturing or lab settings.
  • High mechanical aptitude and attention to detail.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a wet, dirty, or strong-smelling environment.
