Job Description

Summary

This internship provides a unique opportunity to gain practical experience in project management within a logistics environment at Richemont in Grand Prairie, TX. You will work alongside experienced engineers and project managers, contributing to real-world projects and developing valuable skills in planning, execution, monitoring, and closure.

Responsibilities
  • Support the logistics team in all phases of the project lifecycle, including planning, execution, monitoring, and closure.
  • Assist in the development of project plans, schedules, and budgets.
  • Work with engineers in re-engineering and continuous improvement project efforts.
  • Track project progress, identify potential risks, and propose mitigation strategies.
  • Contribute to technical problem-solving and decision-making.
  • Prepare and present project updates and reports.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including external vendors, engineering, design, manufacturing, and procurement.
  • Participate in design reviews and other project meetings.
Requirements
  • Pursuing a B.S. degree in Business Administration, Industrial, Manufacturing, Mechanical Engineering or another related field.
  • 1+ years’ work experience in a logistics or manufacturing operation.
  • GPA: 3.0 or higher.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Suite.
  • Continuous improvement mindset with a propensity for learning and finding new and innovative solutions to complex issues.
  • Detail-oriented and excellent analytical skills.
  • Knowledge of Lean/Six Sigma concepts and applications.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to develop and maintain effective relationships at all levels of the organization.
  • Ability to work in a multi-functional and multi-cultural environment.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong time management and organizational skills.
  • Team player attitude with the ability to influence.
