Responsibilities

  • Manage planning, scheduling, budgeting, execution, and post-project analysis for large-scale store environment projects.
  • Act as central point of contact between Construction, Install Planning, Finance, VM Design, Store Design, in-store teams, and external vendors.

  • Oversee financial transactions including budgets, purchase orders, corporate card expenses, and reconciliations.
  • Negotiate with Strategic Sourcing and vendors to optimize costs and supply chain performance.
  • Facilitate regular project meetings and foster cross-training and knowledge sharing across teams.
  • Create and distribute project documentation such as timelines, briefs, and recaps.
  • Escalate risks, delays, or scope changes to leadership with contingency plans.
  • Translate project details into actionable guidance for in-store teams to ensure successful execution.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in related field or equivalent experience and training in project management principles.
  • 5+ years of project management experience, ideally in retail or visual merchandising, or 5+ years Nordstrom VM Manager experience.
  • Proven ability to manage budgets and perform financial reconciliations.
  • Experience with procurement processes, purchase orders, vendor coordination, and expense tracking.
  • Familiarity with Coupa and Concur and proficiency in Microsoft Office with advanced Excel skills preferred.
  • Experience with project management tools such as Smartsheet, WordPress NordVM, and POMS.
