Pt Cashier

Summary

The Cashier provides a welcoming checkout experience, processes transactions accurately, and maintains an organized cashwrap area. This role supports sales by engaging customers, handling returns and Ship to Home orders, and managing promotions and customer profiles. The position may be offered full-time or part-time and serves as an entry point for growth within the store.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers, answer phones, and deliver exceptional customer service.
• Process sales transactions (cash, credit, debit, checks) and manage promotions and coupon redemption.
• Validate and inspect returned merchandise and execute Ship to Home orders accurately.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the cashwrap, queue line, and surrounding areas; support visual merchandising.
• Engage in cross-selling and upselling, capture customer and salesperson data in the POS, and escalate issues to management as needed.

Requirements

• Retail or similar industry experience preferred.
• Ability to operate a register, stand and walk for multiple hours, and lift up to 30 lbs.
• Strong communication skills, ability to multitask, and provide professional customer interactions.
• Flexible availability including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays as required by the business.
• Willingness to complete compliance and product training and support store standards and procedures.
