Summary

The Public Affairs Associate helps strengthen the company's reputation and advance public policy and advocacy priorities. The role monitors policy developments, supports issues management, and collaborates with teams across the business.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and report on policy trends, legislation, and developments affecting business operations or reputation.
• Support issues management, risk mitigation, and public affairs strategies.
• Draft communications, policy research, issues briefs, and executive briefings.
• Coordinate with internal teams and external stakeholders to align policy positions and advocacy priorities.
• Track engagement KPIs, workstreams, calendars, and project updates.

Requirements

• 2-3 years of public affairs or communications experience, ideally in an agency, in-house, or political environment.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to synthesize complex information.
• Strong organization, attention to detail, multitasking, time management, and project management skills.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with senior management, business partners, and external partners.
• A bachelor's degree in communications, political science, international relations, or a comparable field is preferred.
