Summary
Purchasing Specialist responsible for executing day-to-day purchasing operations at the Dmitriy manufacturing location, ensuring components and materials are available to meet production deadlines while maintaining quality and accuracy. The role collaborates with vendors and internal teams to manage transactions, documentation, and logistics and seeks opportunities to optimize purchasing workflows.
Responsibilities
- Lead daily vendor transactions, communication, and relationship management
- Maintain and strengthen relationships with new and existing vendors
- Coordinate component and material purchasing to meet production deadlines and quality standards
- Collaborate with production to review vendor quality, accuracy, and timeliness
- Maintain purchasing documentation including shipping tickets, invoices, and tracking records
- Coordinate pickups and deliveries with internal and external teams
- Update and oversee project management tools to keep component statuses accurate
- Partner with Development on adjustments to technical drawings based on feedback
- Identify and recommend optimizations to purchasing operations and workflows
Requirements
- 2+ years of purchasing experience within the furniture industry
- Proficiency reading and interpreting production technical drawings
- Strong communication and relationship management skills
- Highly proactive, detail-oriented, and organized with strong time management
- Comfortable working independently and collaboratively
- Proficient with Mac, Microsoft Office, and Google Workspace
- Bilingual in Spanish preferred
- Ability to lift and mobilize furniture and materials in excess of 35 lbs
- Ability to distinguish differences in color, shade, and brightness
