Summary
Responsible for evaluating first production runs, reviewing product development samples, auditing current production, and ensuring quality standards for jewelry products through inspection, analysis, and documentation.
Responsibilities
- Lead initial production approval process including evaluation of merchandise and communication of results.
- Develop and document Standard Operating Procedures for QA processes.
- Create jewelry inspection guidelines and perform inspections on components and finished goods.
- Perform XRF analysis on incoming components and finished goods.
- Scan diamonds in first production goods and document defects.
- Research and resolve product and process defects and manage special projects.
- Audit in process and finished products at contractors and suppliers as needed.
- Participate in sample selection and coordinate transition to the sample library.
- Coordinate with Repairs, Returns, Product Engineering, Product Development, Design, Manufacturing, and Inventory.
Requirements
- Minimum of 5 years jewelry experience preferred.
- Knowledge of jewelry manufacturing and inspection processes.
- GIA or similar gemology certification preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to inspect merchandise for corrective action.
- Strong organizational and written communication skills.
- Ability to work on multiple short term and long term projects.
- Experience working as part of a team.
