Summary
Responsible for partnering with engineering and manufacturing to establish and maintain quality standards for new and existing jewelry products at the manufacturing facility. Leads corrective action and Material Review Board processes, provides training on quality standards, and supports continuous improvement and Lean Six Sigma initiatives to improve product performance and process capability.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with engineering and manufacturing to support new and existing processes and products to meet quality requirements.
- Participate in FMEA studies, validate work instructions and prints, and develop control plans.
- Lead corrective action process including root cause analysis and implementation of solutions.
- Manage Material Review Board activities for rejected merchandise.
- Monitor and analyze quality performance metrics to drive continuous improvement.
- Recommend and implement Lean Six Sigma manufacturing process improvements and waste reduction initiatives.
- Provide training and education to associates on quality standards and procedures.
- Manage assigned projects to improve product performance and process efficiency.
Requirements
- Bachelor of Science in engineering or technical discipline or equivalent experience.
- Minimum 5 years of industrial experience with emphasis on quality assurance.
- Ability to read and analyze technical drawings and prints.
- Strong analytical, research, project and time management skills.
- Lean Six Sigma experience; certification preferred.
- Working knowledge of CAD tools such as AutoCAD Rhino or SolidWorks preferred.
- Familiarity with enterprise systems such as JD Edwards preferred.
- Possess valid driver license and ability to travel among locations and suppliers.
