Summary
The Real Estate Lead will drive the companys retail real estate strategy and portfolio management across North America, leading site selection, lease negotiation, acquisitions, and development to support growth and brand presence. This role partners with Finance, Operations, Store Development, and external advisors to optimize the portfolio and deliver new store openings.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute a national retail real estate strategy aligned with growth plans
- Oversee management of owned and leased property portfolio
- Lead site identification, feasibility studies, and business case development for new locations and relocations
- Manage external brokers developers and consultants to drive pipeline opportunities
- Lead full due diligence for acquisitions including financial analysis site evaluation and lease review
- Lead lease negotiations renewals relocations and terminations to maximize value
- Ensure compliance with lease terms and manage landlord relationships and critical dates
- Prepare comprehensive analyses and presentations for the Real Estate Committee
- Collaborate cross functionally with Brand Finance Construction Store Design Operations and Legal
Requirements
- Minimum 10 years progressive experience in retail corporate real estate
- Deep understanding of retail market dynamics demographics and site analytics
- Strong financial acumen with experience building business cases and ROI analyses
- Excellent negotiation communication and relationship management skills
- Demonstrated ability to manage due diligence and lease administration
- Proven strategic thinking with ability to manage tactical execution
- Leadership experience and ability to collaborate across functions
