SummaryAs a Regional Facilities Support Technician, you will travel to facilities within the Northeast and Eastern U.S. to support store facility teams. You will perform preventive maintenance on equipment, conduct electrical and mechanical work, and have a strong HVAC background. You will also manage truck and tool inventory, maintain vehicles, document work orders, and provide store coverage as needed.
Responsibilities- Conduct routine preventive maintenance on building equipment and envelope, including logging safety inspections.
- Coordinate with the Regional Manager to schedule team activities and projects.
- Cover for the Regional Manager during after-hours calls and emergencies.
- Monitor budget expenditures in collaboration with the Regional Manager.
- Train team members in HVAC, electrical, and plumbing.
- Ensure inspections on facility equipment such as vertical transportation, boilers, generators, and HVAC are completed.
- Perform electrical and mechanical work and HVAC maintenance.
- Manage company vehicle and tool inventory.
- Respond to after-hours and emergency calls, with potential overtime required.
- Work with limited time off between Black Friday and January 8.
Requirements- 5+ years of relevant experience and technical training.
- Background in building maintenance, electrical, and HVAC/R.
- Excellent communication skills with all levels of NMG.
- Knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and high mechanical aptitude.
- Self-starter with excellent troubleshooting abilities.
- Ability to multitask and prioritize work assignments.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform regular bending, lifting, and reaching.
- Effective communication skills with peers, management, contractors, and vendors.
- Understanding of SDS (Safety Data Sheets) information.
- EPA Certified - Universal.
