Job Description

Summary

Based in Vancouver (Oakridge Boutique), the Repair & Maintenance Manager collects, prioritizes and coordinates repair and maintenance requirements across stores, negotiating with vendors and contractors to deliver timely work. You will develop and execute preventative maintenance programs with a focus on sustainability and lifecycle planning while partnering closely with store planning and design teams across Canada.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct in-person field inspections and collect site-specific repair and maintenance needs.
  • Schedule and coordinate work with general contractors, skilled trades, artists and trusted vendors.
  • Maintain and develop vendor relationships and manage competitive bidding to secure best pricing.
  • Develop and implement preventative maintenance programs focused on environmental sustainability.
  • Perform life cycle analysis on common elements to inform procurement, scheduling and budgeting.
  • Support store planning and design teams for Fashion, Fragrance & Beauty, and Watches & Fine Jewellery locations.

Requirements

  • Background in design or architecture with ability to read architectural floor plans.
  • Experience collecting and assessing quotes, writing purchase orders and managing budgets.
  • Deep knowledge of furniture, millwork, artwork and architectural finishes.
  • Working knowledge of local regulations and building codes; ability to react to urgent requests.
  • Proficient in Excel and AutoCAD; strong problem-solving and stakeholder collaboration skills.
  • Ability to travel within Canada; proficiency in French considered an asset.
