Summary
Provide friendly cashiering and salesfloor support in a fast paced retail environment, ensuring a welcoming customer experience, maintaining merchandise presentation, and assisting in various store areas as needed. Perform point of sale transactions, help customers in fitting rooms, and keep salesfloor and stockrooms organized and clutter free. Follow operational, merchandise and asset protection standards while promoting store initiatives.
Responsibilities
- Operate point of sale system and assist customers with in store, online and mobile transactions
- Bag items of all sizes and handle bulky or heavy merchandise safely
- Re merchandise, straighten and size the salesfloor to maintain presentation
- Support fitting room operations by greeting customers and returning items to the floor
- Sort and return clothing to salesfloor to create a clean customer environment
- Keep stockrooms organized and ensure merchandise is checked in and ticketed accurately
- Demonstrate proficiency with store technologies and systems
- Adhere to operational and asset protection standards
- Promote customer programs such as rewards initiatives
Requirements
- Clear and effective communication and strong interpersonal skills
- Accountability, initiative and a high level of ownership
- Organizational skills, attention to detail and ability to prioritize tasks
- Ability to work a flexible schedule based on business needs
- Capacity for continuous movement for 6 to 8 hours per shift
- Frequent bending, twisting, squatting and reaching to handle merchandise
- Frequent use of hands for grasping, fine manipulation, pushing and pulling
- Able to lift items regularly up to 10 pounds and occasionally up to 25 pounds
