Job Description

Summary

An accelerated retail leadership training program running March 23 to May 15, 2026 in Downtown Seattle with a 2-week Nordstrom Rack rotation. Trainees learn management essentials, selling, merchandising, and operational standards and will be placed as Assistant Department Managers within 20 miles of the training store upon successful completion.

Responsibilities

  • Participate fully in all training sessions and store rotations including a 2-week Rack rotation
  • Drive daily sales through active selling and building customer relationships
  • Lead and motivate teams while delivering exceptional customer service
  • Learn and apply merchandising, goal setting, and operational standards
  • Network with leaders and peers across Nordstrom and Nordstrom Rack
  • Embody company values and create an inclusive welcoming environment

Requirements

  • Minimum 1 year retail experience preferred
  • Strong communication skills and passion for leadership
  • Availability for the full program dates and for interviews January to mid-February
  • Ability to work evenings and weekends and flexibility to work multiple locations
  • Willingness to accept placement within 20 miles of the training store
  • Ability to provide transportation for the 2-week Rack rotation
