Retail Leadership Training Program - Garden State Plaza

Summary

Accelerated retail leadership training program running March 23 to May 15, 2026 at Garden State Plaza with a 2-week Nordstrom Rack rotation. Trainees receive hands-on selling experience, management training, merchandising and operational instruction and are placed as Assistant Department Managers within 20 miles after successful completion.

Responsibilities

• Drive daily sales through active selling and customer relationship building
• Lead and motivate teams while delivering exceptional customer service
• Participate in all training sessions and store rotations including a Nordstrom Rack rotation
• Learn and apply merchandising, goal setting, and operational standards
• Create a welcoming inclusive environment and embody company core values
• Network with leaders and peers across Nordstrom and Nordstrom Rack
• Be flexible to work evenings weekends and at multiple locations

Requirements

• Minimum 1 year retail experience preferred
• Strong communication skills and passion for leadership
• Availability for the full program duration
• Ability to work evenings and weekends
• Willingness to accept placement within 20 miles of the training store
• Ability to provide own transportation for the 2-week Rack rotation
• Comfortable with selling and meeting sales goals
