Retail Leadership Training Program - Michigan Avenue

Summary

Accelerated retail leadership training program on Michigan Avenue including a two-week Nordstrom Rack rotation. Participants learn management essentials, selling skills, merchandising, and operational standards with placement as Assistant Department Managers upon successful completion.

Responsibilities

• Drive sales daily through active selling and building customer relationships
• Lead and motivate teams while delivering exceptional customer service
• Participate in all training sessions and store rotations including a Rack rotation
• Learn and apply merchandising and goal setting practices
• Support operational standards and store procedures
• Network with leaders and peers across Nordstrom and Nordstrom Rack
• Be flexible to work evenings weekends and at multiple locations

Requirements

• Minimum one year retail experience preferred
• Strong communication skills and passion for leadership
• Availability for program duration March 23 to May 15 2026
• Ability to work evenings weekends and accept placement within 20 miles of training store
• Ability to provide own transportation for the two-week Rack rotation
• Comfortable with selling and meeting sales goals
• Willingness to participate in interviews and complete program commitments
