Retail Leadership Training Program - NYC Flagship

Summary

Accelerated retail leadership training program based at the NYC flagship with a two-week Nordstrom Rack rotation. Runs March 23 to May 15, 2026, and prepares trainees for placement as Assistant Department Managers within 20 miles of the training store. Includes hands-on selling, management fundamentals, merchandising, and operational training.

Responsibilities

• Drive daily sales and meet or exceed sales goals
• Build customer relationships and deliver exceptional service
• Lead and motivate teams during training and store rotations
• Participate in all training sessions and a two-week Rack rotation
• Learn merchandising, goal setting, and operational standards
• Network with leaders and peers across Nordstrom and Nordstrom Rack
• Work evenings and weekends as required

Requirements

• Minimum 1 year retail experience preferred
• Strong communication skills and demonstrated leadership potential
• Availability for the full program dates
• Flexibility to work at multiple locations and accept placement within 20 miles
• Ability to provide own transportation for the Rack rotation
• Comfortable with selling and meeting sales targets
• Willingness to work evenings and weekends
