Retail Leadership Training Program - Oakbrook Center

Summary

Accelerated retail leadership training program running March 23 to May 15, 2026 at Oakbrook Center with a 2-week Nordstrom Rack rotation. Trainees learn management essentials, selling, merchandising, and operations with placement as Assistant Department Manager upon successful completion. Program includes hands-on store rotations and networking with leaders across Nordstrom and Nordstrom Rack.

Responsibilities

• Drive daily sales and meet or exceed sales goals
• Build customer relationships and deliver exceptional service
• Lead and motivate teams during training and rotations
• Participate fully in all training sessions and store rotations
• Learn merchandising, goal setting, and operational standards
• Rotate through a Nordstrom Rack store to understand fast paced operations
• Be flexible to work evenings, weekends, and multiple locations

Requirements

• 1+ year retail experience preferred
• Strong communication skills and passion for leadership
• Availability for the full program duration
• Ability to work evenings and weekends
• Willingness to accept placement within 20 miles of the training store
• Ability to provide own transportation for the 2 week Rack rotation
• Comfortable with selling and meeting sales goals
