Job Description

Summary

The Nordstrom Retail Leadership Training Program (RLTP) is an accelerated program designed to develop future leaders in retail management. This 9-week immersive training offers hands-on experience in fashion sales, leadership skills, and the Nordstrom customer experience. Successful trainees may become eligible for full-time Assistant Department Manager positions at Nordstrom and Nordstrom Rack stores.

Responsibilities
  • Embody and support Nordstrom core values, fostering a diverse and inclusive environment.
  • Lead and drive business through goal setting, team building, merchandising, and exceptional customer service.
  • Gain cross-functional experience in sales, operations, and services.
  • Meet productivity goals by building relationships with customers and employees.
  • Learn division-specific standards and key performance metrics.
  • Rotate to a Nordstrom Rack store to learn leadership structure and inventory management.
  • Network with top sellers, leaders, and fellow trainees.
  • Participate actively in all learning sessions during the training program.
Requirements
  • 1+ year retail experience preferred.
  • Desire to lead in a fashion retail environment known for customer service.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to establish rapport.
  • Results-driven, self-motivated, and team-oriented.
  • Flexibility to work at multiple locations and adapt to changing schedules.
