Retail Leadership Training Program - Woodfield Shopping Center

Summary

Accelerated retail leadership training program running March 23 to May 15, 2026 at Woodfield Shopping Center with a 2-week Nordstrom Rack rotation. Trainees receive hands-on selling experience, management training, merchandising and operational learning, and network with store leaders. Successful completion leads to placement as Assistant Department Manager at Nordstrom or Nordstrom Rack within 20 miles of the training store.

Responsibilities

• Drive sales daily through direct selling and customer relationship building
• Lead and motivate teams while delivering exceptional customer service
• Participate in all training sessions and store rotations including a 2-week Rack rotation
• Learn merchandising, goal setting, and store operational standards
• Network with leaders and peers across Nordstrom and Nordstrom Rack
• Support an inclusive welcoming environment and embody company core values
• Accept placement within 20 miles of the training store after program completion

Requirements

• At least 1 year of retail experience preferred
• Strong communication skills and a passion for leadership
• Ability to work evenings and weekends
• Flexibility to work at multiple locations and accept placement within 20 miles
• Availability for duration of program and ability to provide transportation for Rack rotation
• Comfortable with selling and meeting sales goals
• Willingness to participate in interviews and program dates as scheduled
