Summary
The Retail Learning Coach partners with store and market leadership to drive sales performance, elevate the client experience, and strengthen leadership and selling capabilities across a designated group of retail locations. This role translates learning programs into measurable on-the-job behaviors and business results through targeted coaching, onboarding support, and performance analysis. Regular travel to assigned stores and collaboration with central learning teams are required.
Responsibilities
- Use business performance metrics to identify coaching opportunities and develop market coaching strategies.
- Create, monitor, and adjust 30-60-90-day coaching plans to improve sales, AUR, conversion, clienteling, appointments, mystery shop, and NPS.
- Design and facilitate sales-floor micro-learnings and skill-building exercises aligned to retail excellence standards.
- Deliver in-the-moment coaching and feedback to client advisors and leaders on the sales floor.
- Conduct needs assessments using performance data, in-store observations, and stakeholder feedback to identify skill gaps.
- Support structured onboarding plans and monitor completion of required learning activities.
- Partner with store and market leaders to implement individualized development and performance improvement plans.
- Support adoption and engagement of digital e-learning platforms and share performance trends with leadership teams.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in luxury retail sales leadership and people management.
- Proven track record in sales performance, client development, and performance-based coaching.
- Experience analyzing retail performance metrics and translating insights into development actions.
- Strong coaching, facilitation, and adult learning capabilities.
- Deep understanding of retail selling behaviors and luxury client experience standards; jewelry/watch expertise a plus.
- Excellent communication, presentation, influencing, and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and business reporting tools.
- Ability to travel regularly among assigned stores, including overnight travel up to 50% of the time.
- Strong organizational, planning, and follow-through skills with the ability to build trust with frontline employees and leaders.
