Summary
The Retail Learning Coach for South Coast Plaza partners with store leaders and retail teams to observe, monitor, and coach sales associates to ensure consistent sales and service standards and demonstrable brand behaviors. This role delivers on-the-job coaching, facilitates trainings and onboarding, and creates learning plans to develop leadership and selling capabilities while supporting business objectives and client development.
Responsibilities
- Observe and monitor daily client interactions on the sales floor and provide coaching based on brand knowledge and selling benchmarks.
- Ensure store presentation standards grooming and image expectations are maintained.
- Partner with store leaders to identify opportunities via observations sales dashboards and NPS scores and create learning plans.
- Develop and monitor individual targets and coach teammates to close performance gaps through training and follow up.
- Track coaching conversations and update training records in the LMS.
- Organize and facilitate in-store onboarding induction and motivational learning moments.
- Support Retail Learning Manager in facilitating trainings aligned to business objectives.
- Prepare monthly training calendars mapping learning solutions to store and regional objectives.
- Maintain active sales floor presence to assess impact of learning initiatives and drive client satisfaction.
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years of training and development experience in a luxury brand or luxury service industry.
- Retail leadership experience with a proven effective coaching approach.
- Strong facilitation communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to interact with all levels of employees and foster a learning environment.
- Composure initiative and accountability in varied circumstances.
- Ability to flex style to motivate diverse teams and instill confidence.
- Willingness to work evenings and weekends.
- Willingness to travel as needed.
