Summary
The Retail Learning Coach partners with store directors and market leadership to drive sales performance, elevate the client experience, and strengthen leadership and selling capabilities across a designated group of retail locations. The role translates learning programs into measurable on-the-job behaviors by developing coaching plans, delivering floor-based micro-learning, and supporting structured onboarding. The position reports to the market Retail Learning Manager and requires regular travel among assigned stores.
Responsibilities
- Use business performance metrics to identify coaching opportunities and develop coaching strategies for a designated group of stores.
- Monitor and create coaching plans to improve KPIs including sales, average unit retail (AUR), conversion, clienteling, appointments, mystery shop results, and NPS.
- Design and facilitate sales-floor micro-learnings and skill-building exercises and support adoption of the digital e-learning platform.
- Deliver in-the-moment coaching and feedback to client advisors and leaders on the sales floor and observe interactions to provide actionable guidance.
- Partner with store leadership to execute structured onboarding plans, monitor progress, and ensure completion of required learning activities.
- Share observations and performance trends with market and corporate partners and follow up on post-visit action steps.
Requirements
- 5-8 years of experience in luxury retail sales leadership and people management.
- Proven track record in sales, client development, and performance-based coaching; jewelry/watch expertise is a plus.
- Strong coaching, facilitation, and adult learning capabilities with experience translating data into development actions.
- Excellent communication, presentation, influencing, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and business reporting tools.
- Ability to travel regularly among assigned stores, including overnight travel up to 50% of the time.
