Summary

The Retail Salesperson is passionate about fashion and styling and focuses on cultivating and growing a customer following both digitally and in-store. This role sets and achieves sales goals through in-store and digital selling, provides styling advice, and maintains department readiness while supporting customer enrollment in loyalty programs. The schedule varies by week and may require working in other departments as needed.

Responsibilities

• Set and achieve sales goals for in-store and digital channels using selling tools such as text and social media
• Build and maintain lasting relationships with customers
• Provide honest and confident feedback about style and fit
• Keep the department customer ready by filling orders, stocking, re-merchandising, price markdowns, and light cleaning
• Open new Nordstrom Rewards program accounts to grow customer relationships
• Work collaboratively with the team and assist in other departments as business needs require
• Perform physical tasks including lifting, bending, reaching, and handling merchandise throughout shifts

• Excellent communication and people skills
• Self-motivated and goal oriented with strong interest in networking and technology for sales
• Ability to excel in a team environment and prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced setting
• Organization and strong follow through
• Ability to work a flexible schedule based on business needs
• Capable of continuous movement for 6-8 hours per shift and regular lifting up to 10 pounds, occasionally up to 25 pounds
