Summary
Responsible for receiving, unpacking and delivering merchandise to selling departments, fulfilling and shipping customer orders, and maintaining organized stockrooms and selling floors. Works with inventory systems to process shipments and supports store operations including events, markdowns and fixture moves. Requires physical stamina and the ability to handle bulky items and perform repetitive movements throughout shifts.
Responsibilities
- Receive and unload freight then unpack and deliver merchandise to selling departments
- Fulfill customer orders timely following quality standards
- Prepare and ship customer orders following packing and shipping standards
- Use inventory management systems to scan and process shipments
- Research merchandise shipments in accordance with inventory control processes
- Assist in maintaining clean and organized selling floors and stockrooms
- Provide general support for store events, markdowns and relocating fixtures
- Perform physical tasks including lifting, bending, reaching and carrying merchandise
Requirements
- High level of ownership, accountability and initiative
- Ability to work in a fast paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Comfortable using various technology and computer applications
- Ability to work a flexible schedule based on business needs
- Capable of continuous movement for 6-8 hours per shift with frequent bending and reaching
- Frequent use of hands for grasping and manipulation
- Ability to lift and carry up to 25 pounds frequently and up to 50 pounds occasionally
