Job Description

Summary

Lead the implementation and management of site safety processes for a distribution center, building and maintaining safety and prevention programs, ensuring regulatory compliance, and supporting EHS performance and audits.

Responsibilities

  • Achieve, monitor and report on EHS performance metrics.
  • Develop and maintain site specific EHS programs and procedures.
  • Evaluate and investigate incident and accident trends and implement corrective actions.
  • Collaborate with Engineering and Facilities on new equipment and processes.
  • Inspect facility to identify hazards and conduct environmental health and safety audits.
  • Monitor compliance with state and federal safety and fire laws.
  • Manage hazardous waste program including inspections, vendor coordination and regulatory reporting.
  • Oversee air quality monitoring noise assessments and spill response actions.
  • Supervise and manage EHS safety leader and evaluate employee performance.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • 7+ years experience in Safety or Occupational Safety and Health.
  • ASP certification or higher preferred.
  • Knowledge of hazardous waste programs and environmental regulations.
  • Knowledge of construction regulations 29 CFR 1926.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Competency in use and application of safety instruments.
  • Strong organization time management and written communication skills.
