Summary
Sales Assistant supporting the Saks New York team in a non-selling capacity, responsible for processing client transactions, handling repairs exchanges and returns, answering client calls, and maintaining store operations and presentation to luxury standards.
Responsibilities
- Accurately process client transactions on the POS system including e-reservations and consignments
- Collect and update client information in the database and support CRM activities
- Handle returns exchanges refunds and staff sales following company policies
- Manage repairs from intake to completion liaising with warehouse and HQ
- Assist VIP clients and support sales staff when needed
- Perform register opening closing and cash reconciliation
- Maintain inventory organization participate in inventories and cycle counts
- Ensure merchandise is ticketed wrapped and packaged to brand standards
- Support BOH packaging levels housekeeping and ad hoc store projects
Requirements
- Previous cashier or similar retail experience preferred
- Proven customer service and clienteling skills with attention to detail
- Excellent numeracy verbal and written communication skills
- Computer literate with strong knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel
- Ability to multitask and work a retail schedule including evenings weekends and holidays
- Organizational skills and problem solving orientation
- Committed driven for results and service oriented
