Summary
The Sales Manager leads showroom and floor operations to deliver exceptional client service while achieving sales and profit targets. This role coaches and develops a high-performing sales team, manages performance and recruitment, and ensures operational and merchandising standards are met. The manager acts as a key link between sales, operations, and clients, driving business plans and process improvements to meet departmental KPIs.
Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the showroom and floor sales team to achieve sales targets and KPIs.
- Coach, mentor, and conduct performance management and development for sales colleagues.
- Plan and execute the floor and showroom business plan and organize daily and weekly routines.
- Ensure discounts, costs, and operating processes remain within budget and policy.
- Support complex sales through negotiation and problem solving and provide client coverage as needed.
- Maintain visual merchandising and showroom presentation to company standards.
- Support recruitment, retention, training, and run floor/showroom training sessions and meetings.
- Perform showroom opening and closing procedures and handle client repairs and sizing when necessary.
- Conduct competitor analysis and represent the showroom at internal and external meetings; travel for business when required.
Requirements
- Retail management experience, ideally within a luxury environment.
- Product knowledge of jewelry or timepieces and comfort with high price points.
- Proven track record of sales achievements and management success.
- Advanced selling and negotiation skills and strong numeracy to analyze sales performance.
- Ability to develop and implement business strategies and manage operating costs.
- Proficiency with POS systems and Microsoft Office and ability to thrive in a fast paced, high volume location.
