Summary
The Sales Manager leads the sales experience and sales team within the store, driving sales growth through coaching, client development, and operational excellence. This role oversees onboarding, training, performance management, and execution of clienteling strategies to build lasting client relationships and meet departmental goals.
Responsibilities
- Recruit, onboard, and develop selling team members to build talent bench
- Coach and mentor direct reports through performance management and feedback
- Drive client development initiatives including appointments, outreach, and events
- Leverage clienteling tools and social selling to increase repeat business and wallet share
- Oversee scheduling and day to day prioritization of department associates
- Analyze customer behaviors and sales data to inform strategies and action plans
- Support audit compliance and maintain stockroom and department controls
- Foster a collaborative team environment and resolve work related conflicts promptly
- Champion change initiatives and communicate benefits and challenges to the team
Requirements
- Supervisory experience managing a team of direct reports
- Proven track record achieving sales and operational results in retail
- Proficiency with clienteling tools, social media, and Google Workspace
- Strong communication, coaching, and leadership skills
- Attention to detail and strong decision making and problem solving skills
- Ability to stand, bend, climb stairs, and lift up to 10 pounds
- Willingness to work flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Luxury retail fashion experience and four year degree preferred
