Summary
The Sales Manager leads the in-store sales experience and is responsible for driving sales growth through development and coaching of the selling team, client development, and operational execution. This role oversees onboarding, training, performance management, and fosters a customer-centric culture to achieve store objectives.
Responsibilities
- Recruit, onboard, and develop selling team members to build a talent bench
- Coach and mentor direct reports to improve selling behaviors and performance
- Maintain high visibility on the sales floor and model exceptional customer service
- Execute client development initiatives including appointments events and outreach
- Use clienteling tools and data to identify opportunities and drive repeat business
- Manage scheduling and daily priorities in alignment with promotional calendar
- Support audit compliance and enforce department and stockroom controls
- Analyze trends and business drivers to recommend improvements and pursue opportunities
- Champion change initiatives and communicate benefits to the team
Requirements
- Supervisory experience managing a team of direct reports
- Proven track record of achieving sales and operational results in retail
- Proficiency with clienteling tools social selling and Google Workspace
- Excellent oral and written communication and strong attention to detail
- Willingness to work a flexible schedule including evenings weekends and holidays
- Ability to stand bend climb stairs and lift up to 10 pounds as needed
- Luxury retail fashion experience and a 4-year degree preferred
- History of building motivating and coaching teams to achieve objectives
