Summary
The Sales Manager leads the sales experience and performance of a Saks Fifth Avenue store by developing client advisors, driving sales growth, and fostering exceptional client relationships. This role oversees hiring, training, performance management, and day to day operations to ensure a customer centric environment and achievement of store objectives.
Responsibilities
- Recruit and onboard new hires to build a strong talent bench
- Train develop and coach direct reports to meet sales and client development goals
- Maintain visibility on the selling floor and model exceptional customer service
- Execute client development initiatives and support client appointments and events
- Use clienteling tools and data to identify opportunities and drive repeat business
- Manage scheduling performance evaluations and accountability for team members
- Support audit compliance stockroom controls and operational excellence
- Collaborate with store leadership merchants marketing and vendors to execute strategies
- Champion change initiatives and share best practices to improve business results
Requirements
- Supervisory experience managing a team of direct reports
- Proven track record achieving sales and operational results in retail
- Proficiency with clienteling tools social selling and Google Workspace
- Strong communication coaching and leadership skills
- Attention to detail and ability to analyze data to drive decisions
- Willingness to work a flexible schedule including evenings weekends and holidays
- Ability to stand bend and lift up to 10 pounds
- Luxury retail fashion experience and a four year degree preferred
