Seasonal logistics processor responsible for receiving, unpacking and processing merchandise for the NYC flagship store while fulfilling customer orders and maintaining organized stockrooms and selling floors. The role requires physical stamina, attention to detail and the ability to use inventory systems and various technologies to support timely order preparation and shipment.
Responsibilities
- Receive and unload freight and unpack newly arrived merchandise
- Deliver merchandise to selling departments and organize stockrooms
- Fulfill and prepare customer orders following packing and shipping standards
- Utilize inventory management systems to scan and process shipments
- Research merchandise shipments in accordance with inventory control processes
- Assist with setting up special events and relocating store fixtures
- Support markdowns and general store organization
- Maintain clean and safe selling floors and backroom areas
- Perform physical tasks including lifting and carrying merchandise as required
Requirements
- High level of ownership, accountability and initiative
- Ability to work in a fast paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Comfortable using technology and new computer applications
- Flexible availability to meet business needs
- Capable of continuous movement for 6 to 8 hours per shift
- Frequent bending, twisting, squatting and reaching to handle merchandise
- Ability to lift and carry up to 25 pounds frequently and up to 50 pounds occasionally
- Dependable and results oriented with customer focused mindset
