Summary
The Security Manager leads and develops the store security team to protect employees, clients, and company assets while supporting an elevated client experience. This role partners with Regional Security, Operations, and Risk Management to maintain Global Protection standards, manage physical security systems, and serve as the store point person during emergencies. The manager also supports sales and store initiatives by integrating security operations into overall store performance.
Responsibilities
- Lead, coach, and motivate the security team to maintain security culture and standards.
- Manage schedules and coverage to optimize protection during peak hours, events, and overnight shifts.
- Oversee and maintain physical security systems including CCTV, alarms, radios, locks, and access controls.
- Serve as the primary contact for emergency action plans and act as point person during incidents.
- Partner with Regional Security and Risk Management to identify and reduce shrink and vulnerability.
- Coordinate facilities repairs, work orders, contractors, and vendor visits; track SLAs and maintenance requests.
- Plan and oversee security for client events, including staffing, site plans, and post-event reporting.
- Build external relationships with law enforcement, first responders, and retail partners.
Requirements
- Proven experience managing a security or loss prevention team in a retail environment.
- Knowledge of physical security systems (CCTV, alarms, access control) and facilities coordination.
- Strong leadership, coaching, and talent development skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with store leadership, regional partners, and external agencies.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills with a professional demeanor.
- Availability to work retail hours, including events and variable schedules.
