Security Officer - Manufacturing 2nd Shift

Summary

Security Officer responsible for protecting company assets and associates at a manufacturing facility. Oversees physical security systems including CCTV, card access, and alarm systems, conducts building inspections and tours, monitors entry procedures, and responds to emergencies. Position is second shift with training on first shift and requires flexibility for rotational shifts, weekends, holidays, and overtime.

Responsibilities

• Monitor CCTV, card access, and burglar alarm systems.
• Conduct physical inspections and security tours of the building.
• Monitor and document building entries and visitor escorts.
• Operate metal detection entry and exit processes for high security areas.
• Inspect trash and discarded materials from designated high security areas.
• Respond to emergencies including alarm activations and medical incidents.
• Ensure employees are authorized for entry and provide assistance as needed.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Fluent English speaking ability.
• Computer literate with technical knowledge of computers preferred.
• Available to work rotational shifts, weekends, holidays, and overtime.
• Analytical and critical thinking skills.
• Ability to communicate and work with all levels of labor and management.
• Previous distribution center, manufacturing, or corporate security experience preferred.
