Summary
The Selling and Service Assistant provides clerical and point of sale support for front and back of house operations in a luxury boutique, ensuring transaction accuracy, client service, and assistance with after sales services while working closely with the sales and operations teams.
Responsibilities
- Process and accurately record point of sale transactions and cash handling at the register
- Assist with opening and closing procedures and POS decisions with management
- Provide high levels of client service including greeting assisting and packaging at point of sale
- Support sales team with merchandising returning merchandise to floor and retrieving stock
- Organize and maintain workstation selling floor and merchandising standards
- Support stockroom operations including replenishment tagging and ticketing
- Assist with physical inventory preparation and after sales logging and client contact
- Maintain detailed CRM records of purchases and client interactions
- Answer phones and provide timely customer service
Requirements
- Minimum 1 year retail experience preferably in a luxury environment
- Experience with POS systems and cash handling preferred
- Strong communication customer service and organizational skills
- Ability to multi task and pay strong attention to detail
- Basic computer skills including Microsoft Office
- Ability to handle difficult situations with composure
- Ability to lift up to 25 lbs without assistance
- Willingness to perform clerical and administrative support tasks
