Summary
The Selling And Service Assistant provides clerical and point of sale support for front and back of house operations in a luxury boutique, ensuring transaction accuracy and assisting after sales services while supporting the sales team and maintaining merchandising standards.
Responsibilities
- Process point of sale transactions accurately at the register
- Assist with opening and closing procedures and cash handling
- Support sales team with merchandising, returning merchandise to floor, and retrieving stock
- Maintain selling floor presentation and ensure supplies like boxes and ribbon are stocked
- Assist in stockroom operations including replenishment, tagging, and ticketing
- Support after sales services by logging repairs and contacting clients
- Maintain accurate CRM records of client purchases and interactions
- Answer phones and provide prompt friendly customer service
- Assist with physical inventory preparation as needed
Requirements
- Minimum 1 year retail experience, luxury environment preferred
- Experience with POS and cash handling strongly preferred
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Ability to multitask, prioritize, and be detail oriented
- Organizational skills and basic computer skills including Microsoft Office
- Ability to handle difficult situations with composure
- Ability to lift up to 25 lbs without assistance
- Willingness to perform clerical and administrative tasks as assigned
