Summary
The Selling and Service Assistant provides clerical and point of sale support in a fast paced luxury flagship boutique. This role processes transactions, supports after sales services, assists the sales team with merchandising and stockroom operations, and maintains high standards of client service and CRM accuracy.
Responsibilities
- Process point of sale transactions accurately at the register
- Assist with opening and closing procedures and cash handling
- Provide prompt friendly client service including gift wrapping and packaging
- Support sales team with merchandising, returning merchandise to floor, and retrieving stock
- Maintain selling floor standards and ensure supplies are stocked
- Support stockroom operations including replenishment, tagging, and ticketing
- Assist with after sales tasks such as logging repairs and contacting clients
- Record detailed CRM files reflecting purchase history and sales activity
- Answer phones and provide timely customer service
Requirements
- Minimum 1 year retail experience, luxury environment preferred
- Experience with POS and cash handling preferred
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Ability to multi task and strong organizational skills
- Detail oriented with computer skills including Microsoft Office
- Ability to handle difficult situations with composure
- Ability to lift up to 25 lbs without assistance
- Willingness to support both front and back of house operations
