Summary
The Selling and Service Assistant provides clerical and point of sale support for front and back of house operations in a luxury boutique, ensuring transaction accuracy, assisting after sales services, and supporting the sales team to deliver exceptional client service.
Responsibilities
- Process and accurately record point of sale transactions at the register.
- Assist with opening and closing procedures and POS decisions with management.
- Provide high levels of client service including greeting, assisting, and packaging at point of sale.
- Support sales team by merchandising, returning merchandise to floor, and retrieving stock.
- Maintain workstation and selling floor stock and merchandising standards.
- Assist in stockroom operations including replenishment, tagging, and ticketing.
- Support after sales activities such as logging repairs and contacting clients.
- Maintain accurate CRM records of purchase history and sales notes.
- Answer phones promptly and provide friendly customer service.
Requirements
- Minimum 1 year retail experience, luxury environment preferred.
- Experience with POS and cash handling preferred.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to multitask, be detail oriented, and organized.
- Proficiency with basic computer skills such as Microsoft Office.
- Ability to handle difficult situations with composure and compassion.
- Ability to lift up to 25 lbs without assistance.
