Summary
The Selling Supervisor is a store leadership role responsible for driving sales performance, coaching and developing the sales team, executing store initiatives, and ensuring an exceptional customer experience. This role supports store operations through monitoring metrics, implementing clienteling strategies, and contributing to recruitment and compliance activities. The position serves as an entry point for future management roles within the company.
Responsibilities
- Coach and develop sales team to drive performance and achieve sales targets
- Monitor sales metrics KPIs and communicate performance to the team
- Model selling behaviors and sell on the floor approximately half the time
- Implement clienteling strategies and execute promotional activities
- Support inventory control and maintain productivity standards
- Assist with recruitment interviews and provide feedback on team development needs
- Supervise daily cash transactions deposits and register balancing
- Ensure compliance with health safety regulations and company policies
- Support merchandising needs and report product category opportunities
Requirements
- Retail supervisory or similar industry experience
- Leadership and strong communication skills
- Ability to stand walk and work on the sales floor for multiple hours
- Ability to lift and climb up to 30 lbs and work in stock dressing areas
- Experience operating a register and handling cash transactions
- Ability to work a flexible schedule including days evenings weekends and possible travel
- Business acumen with planning and prioritization skills
- Awareness of fashion trends is a plus
- Proven ability to build positive relationships with customers and co workers
