Summary
As a Selling Supervisor you will support store leadership by executing strategic plans to drive sales and ensure a profitable business. You will coach and mentor the sales team, monitor performance metrics, and lead by example to deliver excellent customer experiences and achieve store objectives.
Responsibilities
- Coach and develop sales team to drive performance and meet sales targets
- Assign and manage tasks, goals, and priorities for staff
- Sell on the floor approximately 50% of the time and implement clienteling strategies
- Monitor sales metrics and share performance data with the team
- Execute promotional activities and sales events
- Support inventory control, merchandising opportunities, and productivity standards
- Supervise cash transactions, deposits, and register balancing
- Participate in recruitment and interviews as needed
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and company policies
Requirements
- Retail supervisory or similar industry experience
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Ability to operate registers and perform physical tasks including standing and walking for extended periods
- Ability to lift up to 30 lbs and work on the sales floor, stock areas, and office
- Flexible availability including days, evenings, weekends and potential travel
- Demonstrated ability to build positive relationships with customers and colleagues
- Business acumen with strong planning and prioritization skills
